Blackest Night #4
Blackest Night #4 continues to see the dead rise in the DC Universe, and writer Geoff Johns continues to prove that you can write a good cross-over event without having it focus on Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman. With the story so far focusing more on characters like Barry Allen, Atom and Firestorm, we get to see the spotlight on those that normally take a back seat in these types of events. Of course for those who need your Batman or Superman fixes there are crossover titles that involve these two, although you don’t need to read the crossovers to really figure out what’s going on which is nice. Ivan Reis’ art continues to depict a dark and foreboding menace with the growing power of the Black Lanterns on every page, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. Especially this time of year right around Halloween, Darkest Night makes for a great read. I suggest you pick up this latest issue if you haven’t already.
